Blue Ribbon Arlington - BBQ Perfection

Very Quick update.

Had the "Feedbag" for 4 at BR Arl. for lunch yesterday.

1 Rack
1 Chicken
1 Pt of Burnt Ends
1 Pt of Slaw
1 Pt of beans
5 pieces cornbread (they gave us one extra seeing there were 5 of us.)
4 hamburger buns for the burnt ends.

$44

The ribs were perfect. Smokey, meaty, the slightest bit of fat remaining. Optimal bark (a new word for me describing the slight crust on well prepared dry rub ribs). I can honestly say I have never had better ribs anywhere.

The burnt ends were a tiny bit over sauced, but still quite excellent.

The beans, if anything were better then normal. I asked if they had changed their recipe. Excellent baked beans.

Slaw was very tasty.

Chicken was okay but paled in comparison to the ribs. 'Course if you go to a rib place and order chicken that's your own problem.

Not wanting to restart the great cornbread debate, but the cornbread was really superb as well. Not that we actually had much room for it.

Bottom line, BBQ as good as I have ever eaten anywhere including 6 years of heavy travel in the southern U.S. where I hit every BBQ joint I saw... if you ever make it to Americus Georgia... well that's a different story.

Blue Ribbon continues to shine.
