Finally went to Blue Plate last night and was not disappointed. Recovering from the heat, neither my golf partner nor I was up for a full meal, so we did soup and appetizers. We were still hot and thirsty. Both of us had the gazpacho with corn and avocado. It was delicious topped with toasted tortilla strips. She had the cheese stuffed sqaush blossoms on grilled vegetables; I had the crab cakes. Nice bread came with a bit of tapenade and a crock of butter. The only glitch -- the Joe's limeade required a reminder and really would have hit the spot with the gazpacho. Still, a definite "go back."
