Blue Note burger

Although the menu has restaurant pretensions ranging all over the culinary map, this is definitely a BAR, so, before the show, I kept it simple and ordered a humble cheddar burger with fries. My expectations were accordingly low.

But WOW, what a burger! The overall best one I've had in some time. Fairly large but not at all unwieldy, very juicy, perfectly cooked (medium), and judiciously draped with lettuce, tomato and raw onion. The bun was a sturdy and unassertive vehicle for the meat. Steak fries were good. Surprisingly superlative meal.

Downside: patrons are squeezed savagely into half the space needed for minimal comfort.
