So after the gym last night we ate at Blu (at the bar so we could watch the Red Sox).

The bartender, Brent, is awesome. He is efficient, makes a killer apple martini and my BF had one called Please the Gods (or something like that). He loved it, not too sweet; I plan on trying it next time.

We shared everything and were very impressed with the quality.

Shaved Mushroom & Zucchini Salad, Arugula, Capers and Parmigianino Regganio. It was so great that I was actually sad I was sharing it. It must be a specialty of the house because 4 people around us ordered it also.

Lobster PLT:
Pancetta, Lobster & Tomato on grilled Tuscan Bread with smoked pepper aioli (I got this on the side). It came with fries and they split it on 2 plates for us. I was so impressed with how little mayo the lobster was dressed with. The bread was toasted to perfection and it was so satisfying I could have stopped there. I will certainly get it again.

Pan Roasted Salmon:
It was served over lentils, bacon, Vidalia onion puree, dandelion greens & Rhubarb. It was blackened and crispy on the top and rare inside. Pan Roasted to perfection! The quality was definitely sushi grade.

We also just realized we get a 10% discount for being members of the gym, so we saved $12 – that is a free martini!

The lighting was dimmed after the sun went down to that perfect level were everyone is better looking! All and all a GREAT meal with 2 wonderful bartenders!

After we went to Good Life (all done over) and had a wonderful strawberry basil martini! I will check this place out; it looks NOTHING like it did last time I was there. They have made it more upscale and I was impressed, but didn’t eat anything.
