BLT fish - upstairs review

midtown diner | Jan 2, 2006 08:21 AM

dined with my boyfriend at the upstairs for new year's at BLT Fish. 8p reservation the night before.

service- beyond friendly and accomodating. they pay a lot of attention to detail and let us sample soups, petit fours and green apple cotton candy on the house, the cheddar rolls come with a recipe card which i thought was a cute touch.

food- very standard selection, ample portions, and nothing noteworthy with flavor. nicely grilled octopus salad, boyfriend got swordish w.silver dollars and i had tuna medium rare (8oz).

ambiance- romantic low lighting and we got to sit in a very comfy "booth" with a suede pillow. would be great for 2 ppl or groups of 5-8- esp. with the family style specials on the menu. looked like they were having a blast.

cost- overpriced for the food but once you combine the above, it was worth it.
