BLT Burger v Bachi Burger, and the winner is...

The Slider Truck of course!
Seriously, as a single dad with 2 kids, 1 vegetarian, the Slider Truck wins. Over the past 2 days we managed to check out both Laurent Tourondel's BLT Burger and Bachi Burger after having eaten at the Slider Truck several times.

The Order:

1) Slider Truck http://slidinthru.com/

-1Slider $3, 2 sliders $5, 3 sliders $7. Fries and Soda/Water $2ea.
-Excellent vegetarian selection in The Caprese.
-Great Value and experience

2) Bachi Burger www.bachiburger.com.

-Great selection and take on classic and not so Classic burgers.
-I had the Bahn Mi burger, Excellent @ $8.5, we also had Edamame $2.5, Salt and Pepper fries wi Garlic Aioli $3.5 excellent. The Duck Steamed Bun was interesting at $12, kid 1 didn't like them.
-Kid 2, veggie, had the Grilled Cheese, $6, which included fries and drink and it was served panini style. It looked good and he loved it, good cheese and great fries. Really great fries.
-Great find, great service with a smile.

3) BLT Burger http://bltburger.com/ (Mirage)

-I had the Kobe Slider trio for $18, loved the flavor of the beef, loved the BBQ and the BLT Classic but didn't like the Blue Cheese on the third. I'm more of a dolce Blue Cheese guy, Cambozola etc.
-Kid 1 had the Chicken Strips, fries, Shake upgrade at $11. Passable, wasn't finished.
-Kid 2 had, predictably, the Grilled Cheese, $8. Gobs of American cheese immediately put us off. My kids like real cheese.
-Fries are great here but not as good as Bachi's above.
-Interesting spot visually and ambiance-wise, service was ok...not great.

Summary: Slider Truck wins on both price and taste...they are just plain good. I would gladly go to Bachi Burger again and so would my kids. BLT on the other hand, well, we'll be trying LBS or Holstein's next.
