Bloomington/Normal IL---what happened to Bagelmen's???

As a former New Yorker, I considered Bagelmen's a godsend. Their bagels were as close to REAL NY bagels as I've been able to find. We've made the special 1-1/2 hour trip every couple of months to stock up on (and freeze) these true boiled & baked wonders. Last weekend we made the trek again. First we went to the one in Bloomington, on Vernon, only to find they were closed for "remodeling". We then went to the one on Main in Normal. We were a bit confused when ONE of the signs read "Denny's Doughnuts", but the sign on the door still read "Bagelmen's", so we bought 2 dozen and brought them home. Well, they are AWFUL!!! Seriously, frozen Lender's are better! We are SO disappointed! What's going on? Is the Bloomington store still a Bagelmen's? Have they kept the old recipe? When will they reopen? Any info is much appreciated!
