I woke this morning with a major hankering for Irish Black Pudding. Now, going into lunch, I want French Boudin Noir.
If I were in the city, I would head straight to Bar Tartine for Chef Nick's amazing blood sausage but I'm here in the wild country of Napa and even the Fatted Calf has no such things right now.
Anyone know where I can find some pre-made blood? I know I can buy the blood itself at markets in Suisun but I don't have the time and inclination to make my own blood sausage at the moment.
Santa Rosa is a bit too far of a drive after work but I'll head to Sonoma if there is some there.
