Bleuss Meats Update, Cortland Ave SF

I went to Bleuss meats this weekend, encouraged by the positive reply to my post link below. It was late in the day, which may help to explain why I found an extremely limited selection. None of the few meats on display appealed, but they had nice white prawns, nice looking sushi grade ahi, and a few other fish/seafood selections.

I ended up getting clams. Priced at $3.50 a lb according to a sign, but the person who waited on me (who appeared to be an owner, he was in the midst of paperwork when I came in) told me they were only $2.50; perhaps he discounted them, again because of the late hour.

anyway, I wasn't impressed with the selection. That is, I wasn't impressed until I got home, and cooked up the clams in some clam linguini. Wish I had a pick to show you how delicious it looked (and tasted). I must say, those were the freshest, tastiest clams I've enjoyed in quite some time.

What Bleuss may lack in quantity, it more than makes up in quality. Well worth checking out, and I will be back on a regular basis.
