Bleu Drawes Jamaican in Greenpoint

There have been a few other posts on this restaurant (and reviews in NY Mag and the Daily News this week), but I just wanted to add to the (growing) chorus...I've been in Greenpoint for 5 years, and this place would be a find in any neighborhood, but is a god-send in this relatively food-poor (and over thai-ed) neighborhood.

I've eaten at Bleu Drawes about a half dozen times now, and while it's been difficult to stray from the jerk chicken (which is perfect, in my mind), I've also had the jerk chicken club, ackee and saltfish and oxtail and butter beans. All have been clearly made from scratch and with great care. Lunch is in the $6-$8 range, dinner (where they have fish specials and added dishes) $10-$16.

Bleu Drawes is at the far northern end of Manhattan Ave at Commercial Street. (718) 349-8501. They're closed on Monday, open for breakfast and lunch every other day, and dinner Thurs-Sun. Enjoy...
