Has anyone ever made a flavorful crockpot pork shoulder? I've tried a couple times but every time the taste is very bland. This time I seasoned with just salt and pepper. Then I put the pulled pork in the broiler to sear it. After that I put it in the crockpot with no liquid, as I've always been worried that when I've made it past times that the flavor was diluted from too much liquid.
Despite this, the meat still turned out with barely any taste. Does anyone have any tips or tricks? Or should I switch to a dutch oven?
