blah at dali

Dinner at Dali on Thursday night due to craving for berry duck. Sadly i wasnt wowed at all. I think partly because we ordered the wrong stuff too. We had potato salad, octopus w/ vinaigrette, duck w/berry sauce, fried frog legs, garlic shrimp, and pasta paella, and rice pudding.

The potato salad was a potato salad.
The octopus was allright, but I wish it still had some chewiness to it.
The duck was good, but the berry sauce was so cloyingly sweet.
The frog legs were good, but not spectacular. I think I just missed frog legs, and that's why it tasted good. And we paid $6 for 3 legs.
The garlic shrimp was of course good, eaten with bread.
The pasta paella was downright disappointing and tasted like something from Rice a Roni or something like that.
Rice pudding was also good.

Total was about $60. I think I'll skip Dali for a long time until I get the craving for the berry duck again.
