Blacked chicken sandwich w/ peculiar taste

Marci | Apr 21, 2003 07:56 AM

My husband and I went to the America Grill in Lionville on Saturday evening to enjoy dinner on their patio. Sadly the patio wasn't open yet despite the fantastic weather so we sat inside.

He ordered the blackened chicken sandwich with black bean salsa and I had a tuna steak. My tuna steak was perfect in every sense of the word. His sandwich had a peculiar taste to it...kind of like an herb that is smoked instead of cooked with. Has anyone else experienced something like this? I thought he was crazy until I tried it and it did indeed have that flavor. What could cause it? Should we have said something to the waitress? How on earth do you even begin to explain that?

Please advise!!!
