my husband and i found a great asian grocer near us and bought several things that we don't know how to use! the first one i'd like to try using is black vinegar. it is kong yen brand and the ingredients list is as follows: vinegar, sugar, salt, vegetables, fruit spices (?), caramel.
i have read online that it is good mixed with soy sauce and something for heat (like chili oil). i tasted it and think it will be excellent in dipping sauces. i don't know what else to do with it, though. any vegetarian suggestions? any tried and true recipes?
