We ate here Friday night - made resies for 4 at 8. Probably our first mistake (too late). Their name is deceiving..Black Pearl Oyster Bar. O.K., so they serve oysters and there's a bar for drinks - not what we were expecting. Very loud, small place. Reminded me of LA. We shared four apps - pricey and nothing terribly original. Also had 2 dozen oysters, they bring out the platter and the wait staff can't even tell which oysters are which (mix of 3 types)! Cheap wine - but not inventive at all. Pricey on the entrees - 17.50 and up - and if the apps were any clue the portions are likely to be small. Asked a couple of times to get water refills. Couldn't hear each other talk across the table - need to stop serving dinner at some point and switch just to drinks... But has anyone heard anything else - or had a better experience?
