A couple of years ago, one of the Central Florida Hounds recommended Bizzarro's in Melbourne for those of us who love and miss thin crust slices of NY pizza.
Ever since that recommendation, anytime we travel down to So Florida, we make it a point to stop at their outlet in the gas station right off I-95. It's very good.
So, when I saw a Bizzarro's in Ormond By the Sea, I hoped it would be the same. Finally, today I got to try it at lunch. Well, the only thing the two places have in common are the name and the appearance of the pizza itself. Yeah they are both paper thin and huge, but as for taste and quality...forget it. If you love the real Bizzarro's...forget this imposter in Ormond By the Sea.
Instead of using a crushed tomato only pizza sauce, the place in Ormond By the Sea is using a pizza sauce loaded with paste. It was awful.
