We inaugurated Brooklyn DineIn week with our $19.55 dinner as Bistro St. Marks tonight. It's been over a year since we had eaten here. The restaurant was very empty when we came at 6:30 but was pretty filled an hour later. There were only two choices each for the the appetizer, entrée and desert, but we were very satisfied. Salad (2), free range chicken (1), salmon (1) and panecotta (2).
There have been a number of complaints about the quality of service on this board, but tonight we were very pleasantly surprised. Wonderful attention as to when our bread or olive oil was running low. Always checked as to the level in our wine glasses. Didn't serve the coffee and desert until the wine was finished. Just wonderful service. I think that as far as we are concerned, they really benefited from restaurant week. We will be back soon.
