Finally went to Bistro Laurent in Paso Robles and I must say I was a little shocked at the prices. There were no entrees under $20,with the Steak with French fries being 28.50. I ordered Bouillabaise and my date ordered the free range chicken. Both were good, but my bouillabaise portion was a triffle skimpy. The desserts were $7.50. We ordered a chocolate cake with a coffee sauce, good but not worth $7.50. Altogether, with tip, the bill came to $70 without any wine.
While I am not opposed to paying high prices for good food, I feel that the prices were a little high.Before making reservations, I checked the Website and was expecting the price to fall in line with the the meu prices posted on the Website. Sadly, the prices on the website were completely out of date.
For these prices,I would expect a dining experince that was exquisite and this was merely good.
