I recently dined at Bis and am happy to report that things seem to be back on track. The new menu is decidedly more bistro than before but also reflects a firmer (more talented?) hand in the kitchen than in the previous year. Some of the highlights (there were 4 of us) were the escargot in puff pastry with a garlic cream, yummy, and a special of grilled scallops and couscous. For entrees we had a duck confit, beef ribeye, halibut pot au feu and the lamb chops....all were divine!!! I especially loved the halibut which was meltingly tender and full of flavor. I can't wait to go back and try more of the new chefs food.
