Very welcoming feeling from the minute Chef Dan (spotting briefly for the GM) ushered us in. A few months ago, we had a great brunch there with the absolutely best biscuits in Boston. But who knew dinners would be so terrific too?! and what wasn't a highlight? $24 for a doz. Island Creeks? Yes sir, PLEASE!! (Same oysters $36 evwhere else, and Bisq has them as $1 Mon-Wed. I will so be there again next wk.
More favs: Cajun "Shrimp Toast"; Green Gazpacho w/ almonds and crunchy cornbread croutons(so delicious we ordered a second); Grilled Flank steak w/ mushrooms and salad topping(great grill flavor); Linguini with cockles and fried calamari diavolo; beet avocado salad; dessert tasting. This chef really knows the importance of acid and texture in his dishes. And seasoning was spot-on for each plate. Great waiter- tall Jon- gave us great recs. I can honestly say it's the only meal we've had recently that we felt was UNDERpriced. What a terrific time. Hope you'll try it.
