Hi, I was gifted a birthday weekend to spend with my 18yo daughter in Chicago. We both love to eat and she is lamenting her daily dorm food fare. I will be flying in very late Friday night and leaving on a 7pm flight from MDW on Sunday. We are both yearning for tasty meals galore and are only hindered by how much we can fit in our stomachs. Here is our itinerary so far, but hoping you will recommend any improvements that can be made:
Sat morning: breakfast at Little Goat (8 or 9am-ish)
Sat lunch: Fat Rice 12:30pm
Sat dinner: Piccolo Sogno 5:30pm (we both love a good selection of handmade pastas. If there's some place better, please let us know!) We also considered trying HaiSous instead of this meal... but then we'd lose our one pasta meal during the trip.
Sun brunch: GT Fish & Oyster (10am)
Sun early dinner: Duck Duck Goat (4pm)
Notes:
- thinking of leaving for MDW at 5 or 5:15. I will have TSA pre-check w/ no baggage to check.
- was hoping to try and fit in 3 meals on Sunday but because of flight time, might be challenging.
- we have tried the Purple Pig and Revival Food Hall in the past and enjoyed both (though we couldn't try too many things at the PP, as it was just the two of us)
- we wanted to try Saucy Porka this time, but not open on weekends -- know of any place with this kind of food that might be open? And if so, which meal should we replace it with?
Thoughts? Thank you in advance for your input and help!
