Our family will be in Paris late June/early July. The family consists of my husband & I, who spent a week which was not focused on food as much as sightseeing in 2005, our boy/girl 7 year old twins, my mother-in-law who has never traveled abroad and my sister-in-law who will be celebrating her 42nd birthday the day we arrive in Paris. As most of the day will be spent traveling from London on the train, I am looking to surprise her with dinner at some place that will make her say "WOW!" Whether it be dinner with a view or just something special about the restaurant itself, I want it to be something to remember without completely breaking the bank. I am also trying to find a place that our children will be welcome. That is the part that I am having difficulty in finding as most sites have the menus and general prices listed.
I had originally looked at Jules Verne just for the concept, but I think that is more than we want to spend. One site mentioned Les Elysees du Vernet, Le Train Bleu, Le Ciel de Paris.
Does anyone have suggestions?
