I have a challenge for you.
Husband's birthday is in a few weeks and I'd like to take him out somewhere tasty - can be restaurant, private kitchen; can have tasting menu or not (though we fare better with tasting menus as we are habitually indecisive). We've been living in HK for 9 months and eat anything. In the past we have favored French and Japanese - but now I'm pregnant so those two cuisines in particular are not favorable due to the featured raw, cured, and/or unpasteurized ingredients (omg. drool!!!) - just not the best use of a visit. Also he loves spicy food (but I'd need nonspicy but tasty options) so bonus points for spice, though not necessary.
HK munching tastes/history: Husband last took us to Bo Innovation for my bday and we loved it. I think it was our favorite fine dining experience this past year. A close second was The Tasting Room (Macau) and then Jade Dragon (Macau). I've had The Chairman (lunch) Fall last year and Ye Shanghai TST recently - he hasn't tried either - and they were both very nice but I'd like to take him to something a notch above!
Has anyone experienced the T'ang Court Pregnancy Menu (if that's still around; sound bland but I'm morbidly curious)? I was considering getting that while husband gets the traditional tasting menu.
Thanks in advance for any input!
