Birthday Dinner at Fiesta Mexicana

Met some friends last night for a birthday dinner at Fiesta Mexican in Brewster. Got there a little late, so there were chips and salsa already on the table. I ordered a margarita on the rocks, no salt. Margarita was tasty but only about 4-5oz. Chips were nice and crisp, but the salsa seemed to be jarred salsa. We got two orders of guacamole made tableside. One was mild, one spicy. I only ate the spicy and thought it was good, but the consensus was the mild had more flavor. I ordered the lomo de puerco. Thinly sliced pork in a red sauce served with rice and beans. The pork was very tender and the sauce was pretty good. The beans were a little watery, but the rice was good and complimented both sauce and beans well. The service was impeccable. Attentive but not overbearing. They overheard it was someone's birthday and brought out fried ice cream and offered shots of tequila on the house. I was the only one who took them up on the offer. A friend had the homemade flan and she said it was unebelievable.. I don't like flan, so I passed. Overall I'd say food was a three, the service a five. It's located in a strip mall, so the atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired, but the interior is nice, with huge murals on the walls. I'm all about the food, thus my rating. Worth a shot if in the area.
