We usually take my 11 year old son and many cousins out for a birthday dinner to Gyu Kaku near Cooper Union. This year I wanted to try something different but still theme-ish.
Asian is always OK (Benihana?, Ninja Castle?, Buddakan?) but 'American' (like an 'Ed Debevics' of Chicago) would work too. We like Gyu Kaku but I tire of preparing all the food and honestly we generally leave hungry - I can't seem to find a filling dish besides the bimembop.
Anyhoo - any ideas?
