I'm on this Central Asia kick, and it's my birthday soon, so I have the notion to use it as an excuse to drag my pals out to one of the Uzbekistani places this weekend. I've never tried any of them. Although the board has a recent positive report on Salut, I haven't read much on Uzbekistan restaurant for a while, and Tadjikistan (sic) Restaurant remains a deep mystery. Can anyone give guidance on choosing among these three? Or just the 2 Uzbek places, if the Tajik place doesn't always exist? Is the Tajik place really profoundly different than Afghan (or does that depend on where the Afghans are from?). I am a little worried if Uzbekistan's food is pre-made but maybe I am wrong. Thanks.
