I am having people (9 adults, 2 kids, 3 toddlers, 1 baby) for brunch for my birthday and would love some feedback/ suggestions for my menu. There are a few vegetarians and a few gluten-avoiders. I was thinking of:
Cheese plate (small; just oka, boursin, and baked maple pecan cranberry brie, with gluten-free crackers & regular baguette)
Chile relleno casserole (green chiles, eggs, corn tortillas, cheese) with sour cream & salsa
Monkey bread (with gluten)
Cheddar chive mini scones (with gluten)
Sweet potato spice muffins (gluten-free)
Bacon (possibly praline bacon because, yum!)
Smoked salmon potato chip bites
Thinking of making gluten free yellow cupcakes with milk chocolate ganache frosting, because it is my birthday. Cupcakes instead of big cake because it's a new recipe & I want to be able to taste them to see if they are fit to serve.
I am wondering if I need a green salad, and if so, what sort of dressing?
Also, is it too much of a mishmash? I don't need it to all follow a theme per se; I just chose things that sound good to me and give everyone some stuff they can eat!
