Bin 228 in Hartford!!

I'm a Baltimore hound and found this place on my way to Tapas on Ann. It's located at 228 Pearl St. in Hartford. It bills itself as a wine and panini bar and has been open only two weeks. What a lovely place!! Exposed brick on the walls, pendulum lights over the bar and cork tiles on the floor. It's a great atmosphere for solo dining or an after work chit chat.

The menu consists of mainly salads and three forms of Italian "sandwiches"...bruschetta, tamezinni, and panini. I had the arugula salad with asiago and lemon truffle oil and an oven roasted veggie and goat cheese panini. Other than the panini needing some salt and pepper, the meal was light yet very satisfying. There is a very nice selection of Italian wines by the glass, bottle and quartifino (my apologies for butchering the term). The service was attentive and friendly and I plan to go back tomorrow night.

Baltimore needs a place like this!!!!
