Finally made the pilgrimage over to Van Nuys for one of the truly great burger experiences in Los Angeles. After scratching my head trying to figure the love folks got for old school spots like Pie N Burger, In N Out and others, I finally found a vintage burger experience in Southern Californian that shook my me to my midwest roots(crepe thin griddle patty style).
Bill Elwell is the Kazunori Nozawa of burgers and at the age of 87, the sun is ultimately setting on this special burger experience. If you haven't gone or it's been awhile - make tracks to get there, or get back, soon.
