OK, so I tried it out at Mike W's recommendation, below. In fact I tried twice. At noon on Friday, we waited in line for about 5 minutes. When it was our turn, we were told that, quite frankly, there were more than 50 orders in ahead of ours and it would be quite a wait. Since I was there with my two hungry and somewhat impatient kids, we left and went to Doc Holliday's (OK, certainly nothing special). Saturday, my wife and I (sans kids) waltzed in to BTCD at 3:30 and had no wait to endure. I had the signature cheesesteak which was a pretty authentic Philly-style...real steak, big onion slices, great roll, good sauce. My wife had a gourmet chicken sandwich which was also excellent. We topped it off with some Bassett's ice cream (banana-yum!), which in Lancaster can only be obtained from BTCD. A very excellent place. I will go back for an Italian hoagie to see if they can displace Dominion Pizza at #1 in that all-important category...should be an interesting contest! Thanks for the rec Mike.
