Just returned from a long weekend there to hit the Guggenheim, among other places.
The museum restaurant was featured in the NY Times a few months back, so we decided to try their set menu for lunch on Sunday. It was great -- three courses: soup/salad, main dish and dessert plus a bottle of wine person (NOT a glass) for $10 each!
The pintxos in town were outstanding!! It was a bit exhausting for just a weekend but proved to be a great introduction for both of us to a country neither had ever visited before. A word of warning: English speakers are mighty thin on the ground in the Basque region for those of you whose Spanish is limited.
