One more Bijou post, and a question...

Hubby and I just returned from our first visit to Bizou, and I won't add much to Mrs.Jake's assessment below, other than: what took me so long to get there?....particularly nice spot for an early dinner (something about the evening light down in that part of town), at least when the G-men aren't around (would be a great pre-or post SBC choice, were it not for possible parking issues when the guys are in town). Super anchovy appetizer and the chicken with cream corn and morel mushrooms was the best french influenced dish I have had since my last trip to Paris...absolutely no dings about anything from hubby or from me..ok, I will admit that the grilled green onions on top of my chicken were a little too vinegary, but I just removed them and dug in...and yes, the Vacherin was great, even more so since hubby could order it 'free' on the $29.95 price fix and I got to eat half....

really delicious food, very nice people, very nice atmosphere, and next door to a scuba shop, not to mention across the street from K and L: not too much else I could ask for. I may have found my new favorite mid range restaurant in the city...

p.s.: it was a last minute thing and I was lazy, so I didn't call and ask: but is corkage always free if you buy the wine at K and L?
