So Mrs. Sippi and I decided to give this place a go on Saturday for lunch. The place wasn't crowded at all so we sat at the bar and talked to the bartender and waitress. Both of which were incredibly friendly.
So we ordered pulled pork and brisket sandwiches. Both are fails AFAIC.
First off, the pulled pork. Predictably it's "Stewed" in sauce. It comes on a ciabata bun and topped with onion rings. The meat tasted like sauce. It could easily have been done in a crock pot. I didn't hate it since the sauce was tasty but as for what it was, it wasn't very good. The onion rings did nothing for the sandwich either. Didn't add, detract, compliment, balance, nothing. They were just there.
Pretty much the same for the brisket sandwich. I can't remember how it was garnished but again, this thing didn't seem like it saw the inside of a smoker at any time. Not bad tasting much like the pulled pork, just nothing like what it should taste like.
Fresh cut fries were very limp.
I do have plans on trying burgers and wings from there but would probably not order anything "Smoked."
