East Coast West Deli makes, I think, a really great pastrami sandwich that went down very smoothly on one of the really hot days about a week and a half ago. I have eaten at a good sampling the great spots in NYC (Second Ave Deli, Katz's) and Montreal (Schwartz's) and this sandwich really stood up honorably. The corn rye was out of a bag and that should change but otherwise the taste and texture were New York good. I had a side of potato salad which, though a different style from the oil based tangy German Jewish preparation common in New York, was tasty and wonerful in is own right.
Strong recommendation for that one item anyway.
