Until someone gave me a gift certificate to this place, I'd never heard of it.
Went for dinner on Sunday night.
More expensive than Babbo ($26 pastas, $38 entrées?).
Service: as bad as I've had in recent memory.
Food: a little better than Little Italy.
They kept pushing us to get a bottle of water (asked three times).
We were happy with tap. They put a bottle on our check anyway.
Waiters all wore "Yes, I'm union!" pins.
Dinner for two: split one pasta, two entrées, one $50 bottle of wine.
(NO: apps, dessert, coffee, other beverages)
$162, plus tip.
I'm told this place has been here since 1926. What gives?
