Bibim Naeng Myun Recipe

i just looked at an old thread entitled "your most requested dish?" and realized i never replied to a request for my bibim naeng myun recipe....so tracybell, i know it's been almost a year, but if you're still out there, here it is...

start out with one of those dried naeng myun packages w/ soup base:


prepare the noodles as directed, making sure to wash them w/ water thoroughly afterwards. for one serving: put the contents of 1 soup packet, 2T. gochujang, 1 T. sugar, 1 T. garlic, 1/2 T. sesame seeds and 1 tsp. sesame oil in a bowl and mix well. toss this sauce into the noodles and using a food service glove, thoroughly incorporate the sauce w/ the noodles. top w/ sliced boiled egg, julienned cucumber, green onion slivers and sliced beef.

if you don't want to use the soup packet, you could add 1/2 T. vinegar and 1 tsp. soy sauce instead. personally, i think using the soup packet tastes better.

i have also substituted the buckwheat noodles w/ tofu shirataki for a lower calorie dish.
