My brother arrived at Logan last night at 10:30. We rushed to B&G, arriving at about 10:45, 15 minutes before they closed. We were greeted warmly at the door, and offered a table or seats at the bar. (There was no wait, but the place was still lively at that hour.) We chose to sit at the bar, had a wonderful meal of oysters and lobster rolls, and did not feel at all rushed, even though it was well past closing time by the time we left. As many have noted, it's pricy ($70 for four beers, a dozen oysters, a shared lobster roll, and a shared desert), but, in my opinion, well worth it. And it was great to see Barbara Lynch behind the counter late into the night. She clearly is not relying on her celebrity-chef status to assure B&G's success, but rather personally is overseeing the quality of the output and service, which of course is far more likely to result in long-term success than just putting her name on the place.
