"Our dinner here was a disaster from start to finish. First, the white wine the woman served us was warm (oh, and since they don't have a wine list I can't tell you what kind it was... just chardonnay. and I had a glass of anonymous cab also). Then, we ordered the mussels as an appetizer, the woman spills the sauce on our table when she puts the platter down. She said she would bring us some bread for the sauce but never did so before taking the platter back. Sometime in between our appetizer and main courses (the wait was interminable), she decides it should be cleaned up so takes a dirty kitchen rag to our table in the middle of our dinner. Our main courses arrive and my husband's pork saltimboca was burnt. My t-bone steak was raw on one side and so tough on the other side, I could barely cut a piece. The asparagus was crunchy, not delicate. Presentation was horrible, just slapped onto the plate. I sent my meal back and heard her complaining to the chef that I was crazy, in her words "you could make mashed potatoes out of these asparagus, they're so soft" (which wasn't the case, but if they had been that soft, that wouldn't have been acceptable either). I walked out of the restaurant and waited for my husband to pay. He was so appalled, he didn't leave a tip (which we've never done). Then he called his credit card company to dispute the charge because the experience was so awful - only to find the restaurant had added in their own 20% tip. Never, ever, EVER again!"
