Just had an extremely mediocre dinner at Carnaval Grill. However, what's upsetting was the fact that, on their website, they posted the price for dinner to be $27.99 per person, and, with a grand opening discount of 20%, it should come out to be $22.39 per person. But, when our bill arrived, we were being charged $32+ per person (including the 20% discount)!! Since no where in the restaurant did I find a posting regarding this 'Inflated Saturday Pricing', I questioned our waiter about this discrepency. He just shrudded and said 'this is saturday!' I did not want to make a scene, since I was with guests and the place was getting really busy, so I just paid and left. However, this 'Price Gouging' really left a bitter taste in my mouth and I just wanted to post a warning to all chowhound who might want to give Carnaval a try, to check the cost of dinner before accepting any food and make sure they did not find some excuse and over charge you!
