Berkshires get a break, FINALLY

ok Berkshire hounds, check out La Fogata Restaurante at 770 Tyler Street for Colombian and Latin Cuisine. Hungry Berkshire hounds finally get a break from all those blah blah blah upscale south county restaurants! The owner is also a butcher and specializes in grilled meats so keep that in mind. I've been there twice and enjoyed the arroz con pollo and the campesina platter which has a delicious grilled pork rind, rice with egg on top, beef, flavorful plantain, avocado. A really hearty meal. Also had tasty empinada with great sauce and plantain appetizers which were fantastic. The coffee needs improving. Saturday nights they have Andean musicians.

Another spot to check out is Bellisimo Dolce on North Street, an Italian cafe. The lady who owns this place can bake! Really good coffee, teas, and fantastic Italian baked goods. Very pleasant spot to hang out as well.
