Berkshire Pork Ramen at Menchanko-tei

Porthos | Nov 9, 200203:46 PM

Wow. I just got back from the 55th street Menchanko-tei (between 5th and 6th) after having the most amazing bowl of ramen. It was a berkshire pork ramen (good only until 11/30) that was so heavenly, I'm heading back there for dinner. The generous bowl of perfectly cooked noodles in an intense, milky broth garnished with scallions and pickled ginger (I think) was absolutely one of the best lunches I've had in a long time. At $6.50 a bowl, I feel like I robbed them.
