Today's review in the East Bay Express talks about the vegan / vegetarian freindliness of Fellini.
It does mention Fellini sells the vegan People's Donuts which ... vegan or not ... are some of the finest donuts in the Bay Area. I know that Cole's Coffee and Brown Sugar Kitchen also sell them.
Fellini also has "three vegan pizzas topped with soy bacon, soy mozzarella, soy pepperoni, and/or vegan sausage." However, the website lists over a dozen. Three are specifically vegan, but the others can be prepared vegan on request ... as are many of the other dishes marked with a 'v'.
There's vegan French Toast for brunch and vegan chocolate cake for dessert.
Another interesting fact was that on Monday all wine is $12 and there's no corkage fee on Tuesdays. The website says ... Every Thursday: All Soju Cocktails $3.00 ... Every Wednesday: All Pints $2.50/Pitchers $10.00
Looking at the menu on the Fellini website they have these vegan dishes which sound better than most vegan joints ... there are many, many ... many other vegan options on the menu
Sweet Corn with Ancho Chili Soup (V)
Beets with Blue Cheese and Basil (V) ... vegan blue cheese?
Roasted Vegetable Risotto (V)
Spring Vegetable Ragout w/Couscous (V)
Caesar Salad (V)
Fettuccine with Shiitake and Oyster Mushrooms (V)
Pasta Apulia (V)
Linguini alla Diavola (V)
Capellini Limone (V)
Vegan sorbettos ... Lemon, Raspberry, or Blueberry Pinot Noir
Tofu Pepper and Pesto Scramble
Vegan Breakfast Sausage Scramble
Also sides of vegan bacon, sausage, sour cream and cream cheese are available
They even have a vegan kid's menu.
The reviewer wasn't that enchanted with the place, but the tastes of this particular reviewer are seldom in sync with mine.
So is Fellini a place that vegetarians and vegans enjoy?
