Bennigan's apologized.........

Johnresa | Apr 29, 2008 10:25 AM

Me and a DC went to bennigan's about two weeks ago because for some inexplicable reason she was dying to experience it. I had been before so i told her it was nothing special but she insisted. We ordered the $9.95 3-course meal deal they have going on right now. The appetizers were decent. We ordered the southwestern egg rolls and the chicken quesadilla. We ordered drinks and they were pretty potent and tasty. The desserts were pretty good too. The difference in our satisfaction with our entrees in AMAZING...lol. She raved about her fried shrimp with fries and slaw like the owner of Bennigan's was the King of the World. I had the cajun chicken and shrimp pasta and it was beyond revolting, disgusting, and just down right nasty. I went on the website and complained. Not because I did not like the flavor...oh no I would never complain because a dish does not meet my personal taste preference. I complained because the pasta was overcooked, perfectly done, and underdone all at the same time. Clumps of fettucini dry in spots from not hittiing the water at all held together by some thin bland milky substance otherwise known as sauce. The mess of a meal was dusty on top with "cajun spices". I shudder just to think about it. They sent me a $20 gift card in the mail to apologize. Thanx Bennigan's.....next time I will just have a burger.
