Beni's Trattoria [Garnerville}

Forged out in the snowstorm to try Beni's for dinner. This is the same location of the previous Scoozi's. We were surprised at how full the restaurant was given the bad weather. We also were surprised that every table seemed to greet at least one other table when being seated...guess it caters to a very local crowd. It is a BYO. Service was spotty. Every dinner comes with soup or salad and we both had the pasta fagioli which was very flavorful. I was attracted to a veal dish with the description of being prepared with wild mushrooms and asparagus. In reality it had sliced button mushrooms...and old ones at that! Not wild mushrooms that was the reason I chose the dish. When I finally caught the attention of our server to express my disappointment, another option was offered but my husband was already more than halfway thru his chicken parm (which was pretty good). I also was concerned if the veal was cooked properly as it seemed very pink.
I took most of it home. We might give this place another try because I like the BYO policy and the dishes were priced nicely.
