Bella Notte last evening again proved itself a reliable and convenient spot at which to eat before an event at the United Center, about fifteen minutes away. The food was good with the broccoli salad the standout, a heap of the stuff lightly dressed with garlic and oil. I also was pleased to find half portions of pasta entrees available. Tonight I'll be getting a second supper from my half portion of linguine with white clam sauce, and half portions of tortiglioni carbonara and spaghetti arriabata also made the trip home. A Chilean sea bass special at $28.95 boosted our bill, but the total fare for four was still just a hundred bucks (two glasses wine, no dessert, three cappuccinos).
The atmosphere is fun, a fitting prelude to going to the U.C. Service is quick and professional with the only blemish yesterday an overmatched valet parker.
