belin crackers

Nancy | Sep 19, 2002 09:35 PM

several years ago, i studied for a summer in paris. while many of my fellow american students chose to snack on familiar american items (don't worry, we ate french food for our "real" meals), i fell in love with belin crackers. the "pate" style ones with garlic or salmon were especially addictive.

it is only now, years later, that i have a resource to ask about these yummy treats! has any chowhounder ever seen belin crackers around new york? i don't go to gourmet stores often but have never seen them when i do. and i've never been to a french foods specialty store in new york either. does anyone know the crackers i'm talking about and if they're available anywhere in the city?

thanks in advance for any help...
