I had dinner at Belga Cafe last night. My friends and I enjoyed our meal greatly, but we definitely saw the point a previousposter made about the slow service. We were there for 3 hours for a 3 course meal and drinks. However, we were celebrating a friend's birthday and were in the mood for a leisurely-paced meal. Plus, our waiter was extremely friendly.
To answer a previous question, the mayo they serve with the frites is house-made. And yummy.
Our food was great. Entrees were lamb, mussels with garlic butter, and beef stew. For dessert, I recommend the mousse 3 colors; the dark chocolate version was amazing!
The beer list is good, but we would have liked some descriptions accompanying the entries. Thee were a few we hadn't heard of, and some written clarification would have been nice.
All in all, it was a good experience, and I would go back.
