While on a driving vacation, from NYC to Canada a couple of weeks ago, I overnighted in Belfast, Maine.
I took a stroll through town and spotted Belfast Soup and Sandwich, 1 Beaver Street - across from the Post Office. There was a sign outside for $6.99 Lobster Rolls and, even though it was breakfast time, I couldn't pass that up on the first day of my "northern adventure."
I had a very good lobster roll for $6.99 and a flavorful "Italian vegetable soup.".
The shop is decorated with old photos of Belfast, Maine. Wayne Drinkwater, the owner/chef, is an excellent cook and a gracious, personable host. A very pleasant experience - I wish I lived close enough to make it a regular stop but I felt the least I could do was share this with fellow 'hounds.
