Beginning/Ending of Day Restaurant Rituals?

aurora50 | Jan 9, 201111:21 AM

I remember, at Lawry's the Prime Rib (when it was located across the street, where The Stinking Rose is now located) , when we would arrive early in the evening for dinner, we would wait in the lounge, then a lady would announce Dinner Service at 5:00 by ringing hand-held chimes. It was delightful. Unfortunately, they no longer do this at their new location.
Do you have a favorite restaurant where they have a cute/unusual beginning or end way to mark the beginning or end of service for the day?
