Visited Bea's about a month ago on a Friday evening. This is a fairly unique place that got a write-up in USA Today about 4 years ago for its uniqueness and having been there for about 50 years. They serve semi-family style at lazy Susan-type tables--about 3 entrees, lotsa veggies, etc. Hard to beat for less than 10 bux. My only other visit there was about 3 years ago, and it seemed far better. This time, it seemed like the place had really gone downhill. The fried chicken was OK, but there was some sort of fried nugget entree that I couldn't even identify, much less enjoy--too overdone and chewy, also. I hadn't eaten in well over 24 hours, and I still couldn't eat much more than a (small) plateful, so it wasn't a hunger issue.
So I'm curious to know if anyone has been there recently who can still recommend it.
